Youth Ministries

At First Baptist Church, we believe an essential function of the church is train up young people to know, love, & serve the Lord. Our Youth Pastor Denny Doyen, and his wife Tamara, have a heart and passion for pouring into the youth so that they understand how to be forgiven of their sins in Christ and serve Jesus for the rest of their lives. Our youth group includes teenagers grades 7-12th grade.


We offer ministry opportunities for teens through Sunday morning discipleship time at 9AM; Wednesday mid-week Youth group; frequent youth fellowship gatherings; and summer camp.


We offer a safe environment for teens where dedicated volunteers help them know God, understand Jesus' love, and learn the Bible. Every volunteer and staff member that works with teens at our church undergoes a background check and annual training to ensure adherance to our church's child protection standards and policies.

Youth Group Sundays

Sunday Morning Discipleship

Every Sunday morning at 9AM, our Youth Pastor Denny leads the youth group in a time of discipleship through instruction in God's Word. There are also some breakfast snacks and drinks offered and a brief time of fellowship.


2nd Sunday Youth Activity

Every Second Sunday of the month in the afternoon, the youth have an activity time where they come together as a group to fellowship and have fun. Sometimes these events are at the church and sometimes at locations off-site. 



Wednesday Youth Group

Every Wednesday the youth meet for their main time of group gathering. Teens are fed a lite meal, have a time of fellowship and activity, then the majority of their time is spent being taught the Bible by our Youth Pastor Denny.


During the school year they meet Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30PM


Out of school year they typically meet 6:30-7:30PM (changes sometiems due to summer activities)

Section Title

Each year during the last full week of June, we go to Youth Summer Church Camp at Baptist Hill Assembly in Mt. Vernon, MO. It is a wonderful week of fun but more importantly a time to help youth learn from the Bible and learn how to draw closer to God in their own lives.
